The Amsterdam Icebar should be on your Top 10 List of things to do when in Amsterdam.

It’s definitely not just the coolest but also the coldest place in town (-10°C).

You receive 3 Tokens on entering the bar that you exchange for drinks, the two silver tokens are for inside the IceBar and the  one golden token is to enjoy a drink in the front lounge bar (‘heated’ front bar).

You can either enjoy a drink in the front before you enter the Ice Bar or you can enjoy it after the Ice Bar experience, which is what we did and was better as there was no rush to finish a cocktail. There are additional drinks available should you want more.

Before entering the IceBar each one receives a coat and gloves to keep you warm. Just a tip, use their gloves….we didn’t as we had gloves, but they got sticky from the drinks. Here the glasses are made of ice and you have the option of beer or a shooter (5 options), orange juice is also available should you not drink any alcohol. If you are a beer person then choose beer as your first drink as this is the glass you will be also using for your 2nd drink should it be a shooter.
