Restaurant Service

We are currently trying different restaurants to see which ones we would like to frequent that is not too far from where we live.

The one thing about Lusaka that is really disappointing here is the lack of service and quality.

We drive past @sea_salt.lusaka very often and thought it time we have them a try.

Not sure whether it’s under new management but a lot needs to be addressed to get this place sorted and to the quality one would expect from a restaurant that is supposed to be “premium”.

It started with dusty menus, and the specials menu was so old and crumpled it should have been thrown away a long time ago.

We were served the salad dressing in a bowl that had a HUGE chip on the top.

We ordered the quinoa, chickpea, spinach, white beans salad and tempura prawns to share as a starter.
The salad must have had 1 Tbsp of cooked quinoa the pulses were kidney beans, butter beans and chickpeas all drained and direct from the can, with some wilted spinach.
The tempura was just a batter that covered the prawns and were soft.

Our mains were:
Crayfish tails were looked delicious but were overcooked and served with chips that needed to be cooked more.

Kingklip had a strange soft batter, the veg were not bad.

Beef fillet was medium rare as requested but chips were also hard and under cooked.

We decided not to give their dessert a try.

We took our own wine and paid corkage.

Having said the above, I’d still like to give them a try in about 3 months to see whether any improvements where made.

PS: if you own a restaurant in Lusaka and are looking to improve your service and would like to change a few things in your kitchen or like to have your staff trained, please DM me.

The 1st 3 to DM me would have it done at no cost to you and need to be in a radius of 5km from Longacres, Lusaka.
